Product Upgrades On Intelligent Monitor

May 14, 2013

APP world leaders in Commercial TPM technologies, recently announced upgrades to their Intelligent Gateway product and technology developments to their Flex (ITM).

Advantage PressurePro the world leader in Commercial Tire Pressure Monitoring technologies, who also recently announced numerous upgrades to their Intelligent Gateway product, has officially announced to the market several upgrades and technology developments to their Flex Intelligent Monitor (ITM). These developments give customers new levels of functionality and customization not before allowed in the TPMS market.

The PressurePro Flex ITM, traditionally used to allow users to display readings and alerts from PressurePro’s Universal Repeaters, allowing fully automated drop-and-hook monitoring for multi-trailer fleets, now allows users to set custom reference pressures and custom temperature alert levels. Utilizing PressurePro’s Configuration Software, the upgrades also allow easy in-shop installation of Sensors to the Monitor.

“The new upgrades also allow integrators an easier way to connect to the Flex ITM to through a serial port, directly to the integrator’s communications box, utilizing RS232 protocols,” explains Vanessa Hargrave, PressurePro’s Director of Marketing. “Essentially, these upgrades help PressurePro maintain our ranking as the most trusted name in Commercial TPMS while at the same time allowing us to again raise the market’s bar on ease of use and advanced functionality.”

APP the world leader in Commercial TPM technologies has officially announced the completion of several upgrades to their product line of advanced TPMS products.

APP the world leader in Commercial TPM technologies has officially announced the completion of several upgrades to their product line of advanced TPMS products. These developments, never before available in the TPMS market, add greater functionality and customization options for customers.

Upgrades to the PressurePro Gateway allows users to change unique ID numbers, see alerts on their vehicle dash warning light, provide a fast leak check and allows users to set Gateways to provide an alert only feature. Further, upgrades allow users to set customizable low and high pressure alerts and high temperature alert levels and to do so by tire or axle, provides user programmed trailer IDs from the Universal Repeater and brings customers the option to freeze the reference pressure if desired.

The advancements provide a number of benefits for PressurePro’s technology integration partners. Technology partners will be able to more easily request and set alerts and reference pressures. Further, the upgrades provide developers with their own software, to fluently work with the Gateway without the use of a programming monitor.

“We are focused on providing products that offer our customers a better way to save time and money on managing tires, pressures and fleet performance” says Jeromy Morharbel, Lead Engineer for PressurePro. “Simply, we want to provide fleets with the greatest savings and efficiencies possible, and are confident that these advancements to our product not only help us reach these goals, but further distance our product from other options currently on the market.”

PressurePro NEWS Letter September 17, 2013

Updated Sensor Seal Technology

Mar 28, 2013

APP the world leader in TPMS, continues to advance TPMS technology and offerings with the latest reveal of their updated Sensor seals.

APP the world leader in TPMS, continues to advance TPMS technology and offerings with the latest reveal of their updated Sensor seals. “In the continuous search to improve our products, PressurePro is pleased to announce the development of our new Sensor Seal,” stated Douglas McMeen, PressurePro’s Director of Technology. “In conjunction with partners EEA Engineering out of Australia, we have utilized new technology to review the stresses put upon the seal in a vast array of environments and have made enhancements to the seal accordingly to ensure that PressurePro customers continue to have the most reliable, durable and accurate TPMS product available.”

PressurePro’s new valve seal solution uses a 2-piece valve seal system. The first piece is a hard plastic depressor that rests on a surface just below the threads. This new plastic depressor has been designed to the optimum length to more fully depress the valve and provides a hard stop during installation, preventing over tightening of the Sensor against the rubber sealing surface; thus preventing damage to the seal. A simple rubber O-ring is pushed into place over the plastic depressor which fits snugly in place and can endure repeated loosening and installation of the Sensor.

“PressurePro is proud of our record of reliability and value,” stated Phillip Zaroor, President and CEO of PressurePro. “As one of the only TPMS products developed and manufactured in the U.S., we strive to maintain a stringent research and development commitment and continue to push the entire TPMS market into the next generation.”

TPMS Help Fleets Cut Costs

Feb 06, 2013

APP the world leader in TPMS continues to help fleets and drivers of all types understand the benefits of keeping tires properly inflated.

APP the world leader in TPMS continues to help fleets and drivers of all types understand the benefits of keeping tires properly inflated. Not only do underinflated tires reduce efficiencies and profits of operations, they also can cost the environment significantly. Added waste in landfills, increased road pollution, increased emissions and more result in added costs that fleets can avoid. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems can dramatically reduce these effects and help fleets “go green” and increase bottom line profits, giving more green to share.

Wasted Fuel: The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) estimates that 2 billion gallons of fuel are wasted each year, in the United States alone, due to low tire pressure. PressurePro provides users with current tire pressure information and alerts in real time, parked or moving, allowing fleets to reduce fuel use by up to 2%.

Increased Carbon Emissions: Vehicles with under inflated tires require addition fuel to overcome increased rolling resistance. This additional fuel use adds billions of tons of carbon emissions to our atmosphere. In fact, the DOT estimates added emissions from low tire pressure equals over 57.5 billion pounds of carbon emissions emitted into the atmosphere every year, in the United States alone.

Prematurely Worn Tires: Running tires underinflated leads to premature failure as well as additional waste in landfills. The DOT and tire manufacturers estimate that on average, 43% of all tires in operation are operated at 10% below the recommended level leading to a 16% increase in wear rates. Similarly, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has found that over 7% of all commercial tires are running at least 20psi under manufacturers’ recommended inflation pressures. Considering that in the USA alone, over 290 million tires are disposed of each year, it is estimated that nearly 100 million tires are worn and dumped prematurely.

Roadside Pollution and Air Particulates: As under inflated tires begin to break down due to the added bend and flex caused by under inflation, tires become more susceptible to catastrophic failure and blowouts, resulting in the roadside tire debris, or “gators”, commonly seen on highways. Further, as the tires deteriorate, minute pieces of the tire’s rubber particulates are released into the air, causing particulate pollution.

Lost Raw Materials: Tire makers use nonrenewable raw materials such as rubber and oil to create new tires. As tires are run with improper pressure, decreasing their lifespan, additional raw materials are required to make replacements. Further, commercial tires which are run under inflated tend to wear unevenly or have non repairable injuries, rendering them unviable for retreading. PressurePro TPMS can increase the lifetime of a tire, reducing the use of nonrenewable materials.
